چکیده
In recent years there has been an increasing interest in dip-slip faults because of some evidence that happened around the world. For instance the 1999 Chi–Chi earthquake in Taiwan the 1999 Kocaeli earthquake in Turkey the 2002 Central Alaska earthquake in the USA the 2004 Mid Niigata earthquake in Japan and could happen anywhere and anytime. There are two important elements in soil which less being considered in faulting cohesion and friction angles. These two elements have been shown as the most influence aspect in soil in different studies such as slop. Whereas it has not been considered in faulting. An experimental investigation was conducted to explore the effect of cohesion (C) and friction angles (φ) on normal and reverse faults which are most comment faulting and the experimental model has designed in 1g model. The results revealed that there is more energy in reverse faults compare to normal faults hence more tunnel displacements can be seen in reverse faults and the highest displacements has recorded 50% more displacements in reverse fault compare to normal faults. The results presented here may facilitate improvements in the many locations that have an active fault ruptures.کليدواژه ها
